Can I take the same dose?
I am taking for cold sores. I take 4 500mg pills at first sign, then again 12 hours later. I did that 6 days ago and those cold sores, 4 of them, have almost healed. Today I have 3 more that are coming out, can I take the same dose again?
AskDocWeb: Whenever you have a question regarding safe dosage it is best to ask your own doctor or healthcare provider. What might be safe for one person may prove fatal for someone who has a different BMI, health history, other health concerns, etc..
Dizzy and shaking
My mom has been on valacyclovir HCL 1 gram and she was only on it for four days it made her very dizzy to the point where she wanted to faint and shaky, just very out of it. It was like she was drunk but worse she stopped taking it that day and now she has been off of it for almost two days and she still has the side effects of being dizzy and shaking and not with it. Just not as bad as when she was taking them is there a reason why she is still feeling the side effects?
AskDocWeb: It is possible that there is something else going on that is unrelated to the medication. Sounds like this needs to be discussed with her doctor.
