How long does it take?
Sir, I'm Rahul. I have used for 20 days minscalp 5%. How many days hair growth start sir.....?
AskDocWeb: With twice daily application you may start seeing results between 90 and 180 days. However, you should know that this product does not work the same for everyone. For some, it does not work at all. Good luck.
Hi, I'm 23 years old guy and I have heavy hair fall and grey hair problem my doctor prescribe me MINOKEM-n. can i use this is it safe for me what kind of side effect.
AskDocWeb: MINOKEM-N is manufactured by Alkem Laboratories Ltd in India. It appears to contain 5% minoxidil, 0.01% tretinoin and 1.5% azelaic acid. The tretinoin and azelaic acid work to increase the absorption of minoxidil into the scalp. We have yet to see any clinical studies on the effectiveness of that combination.
Fatigue, joint pain and tingling
I'm 24 and have been on and off minoxidil for 5 years! In the beginning, I used to feel fatigued but recently I've begun to have joint pains and tingling all over my body. Can it be the minoxidil? If so, can I wipe out the side effects by reducing the dose or should I go cold turkey?
AskDocWeb: Joint pain is not listed among the possible side effects of minoxidil. It is not unusual to experience a tingling sensation but that is usually limited to the scalp. Although there are rare cases of general fatigue reported by those using minoxidil, it sounds like you may have something else going on so check with your doctor. Discontinuing the product would get rid of those symptoms but only if they were caused by the minoxidil.

Mintop minoxidil usp 2
Hello AskDocWeb, I am using mintop minoxidil usp 2. I wanted to know.....how much time should i give after applying solution..... and what should i use to wash it... What will be good for my hair....can i use shampoo or something else...plz help me...
AskDocWeb: The directions say to allow the solution to completely dry for 2 to 4 hours after applying it and not to shampoo your hair for 4 hours after applying the minoxidil. Be sure to immediately wash your hands after applying to remove any excess. This will help to avoid transferring it to other parts of the body where hair growth is not wanted. And remember, using a hairdryer on the scalp may make the treatment less effective.
Shampooing is okay within the guidelines of the instructions that comes with your Mintop. However, you may want to do a little research on your current shampoo to make sure there are no complaints about hair loss and that it doesn't contain any cancer causing ingredients or contaminants.
Hi, I am 23 years old. I was using minoxidil %5 for 3 years and when I stopped using minoxidil because I didn't see any results (frontal baldness). I suffered heavy irritation on the forehead and back of head between ears and neck. Is it normal or should I go see a doctor.
AskDocWeb: If your scalp irritation occurred after discontinuing the product then you may have an unrelated problem. Please see your doctor to determine if your condition needs treatment or not.
Minoxidil 10% and 12.5%
I had huge hair fall problem, i consulted a doctor.. he prescribed minoxidil 10% for first month and now prescribed Morr 12.5% with tablets.. i am using it for the past 3 months and had a good result... my tablets are about to finish, Can i use only minoxidil 12.5% for rest of my life without any additional tablet???.. will i get the same result???
AskDocWeb: In the USA we have a "Food and Drug Administration" that sets the rules for consumer protection. Drugs like minoxidil have to pass tests called clinical trials in order to prove that they are safe to use. Currently no minoxidil formula stronger than 5% has been approved for consumer use. The 10% and 12.5% formulas of minoxidil are considered experimental because they have not passed these safety tests and results are unknown.
Difference between Minokem N 5% and Minokem 5%?
Sir i am 25 years old., I had problem with hair loss. i want to know What is difference between Minokem N 5% and Minokem 5%
AskDocWeb: These are brand names of products manufactured by Alkem Laboratories Ltd. The difference is in the ingredients. Minokem 5% is 95% alcohol and 5% minoxidil. Minokem N 5% has a slightly reduced amount of alcohol, which is replaced with 0.01% of Tretinoin. The Tretinoin makes the scalp absorb more of the minoxidil through the skin.
How long does it take?
How much time have to grow hair. I am using gainehair 5%.
AskDocWeb: Since hair grows on average about a half inch per month it can take a while to see much change. Consumers using products containing 5% minoxidil may see results within 6 months.
